The average man does not think a lot about jewelry, at least when it comes to himself. While he may have to put in a couple of hours at the jewelry shop for his significant others birthday or their anniversary, the truth is most men want to stay as far away from possible from a jewelry shop, as all that they know from them is stress, and financial pain. The truth is, most men don’t buy jewelry for themselves, which means that they have no idea what they want in a ring. You can typically be okay with this fact, since you aren’t going to buy yourself any rings, until it comes time for you to get married. February 8th, 2011 Love with Tungsten Rings

Studies show that men love jewelry, and enjoy receiving it as a gift as much as women due. So, it is because of this that one should consider giving the gift of jewelry to their significant other on this upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday. Show love and appreciation by investing in the most popular men’s rings available. An increasingly popular metal that men have an extreme liking towards are the tungsten rings. These rings have grained quite a bit of recognition and popularity over the years. The reasoning for this is due to the extreme comfort and durability that this metal type posses.

Tungsten rings have a heavier weight to them than any other metal. Because of this, men have a tendency to favor this ring style due to the weight associating that with longevity as well as the stylish look that they encompass. Tungsten rings maintain a beautiful shiny finish. Unlike most metals where the surface will have noticeable varying degrees of scratching, denting, the tungsten rings will remain polished.

Men enjoy jewelry that has a more manly appeal to them as well as stylish and fashionable. Many online retailers and stores have a growing number of tungsten rings by a variety of designers and styles. Nowadays tungsten rings can have an inlay of gold if one favors this particular fashion. Other types include ones that are incrusted with diamonds, tungsten rings that are squarer shaped, or tungsten carbide rings that display beautiful intricate designs around the circumference of the ring.

September 1st, 2010 The New Generation of Men’s Rings

For most men, the only time they ever consider getting a ring is when it’s time to tie the knot. You don’t see a lot of men out at the jewelry store trying to find a ring to wear on a daily basis. Heck, most men don’t like any type of jewelry and would rather be caught dead then looking around for something shiny. I had a friend who once told me that the only thing more unattractive then the idea of wearing a ring is wearing a ring that you bought yourself. This means that when it comes to wedding rings, most men go kicking and screaming to find one for themselves. When they get to the shop, though, they realize that the ring market has changed thanks to new metals and designs such as palladium, titanium and tungsten rings.

If you ask any guy, the issue regarding rings is not so much about the idea of wearing one but instead about design. Growing up most guys had a bad experience with rings. I have a friend, not the same one as before but a different one (yes, all my guy friends seem to have issues with rings), who said that he got turned off to rings after he received on for his Bar Mitzvah when he turned 13. He said the ring was so ugly and so full of senseless bling, that he hated every moment he was forced to wear it. He felt like everyone was looking at him and his stupid ring. Because of that, he vowed to never wear a ring, unless it’s a wedding ring. He happened to get married last year, and dreaded the idea of having to wear a ring again. It wasn’t until he got to the shop and saw the new designs where he realized that his fears were baseless.

Men don’t want anything showy or “blingy” in their rings, they just want something to match their personality. This means finding something that is, in most cases, classy and industrial. While some like traditional gold and silver, other’s are really taking to the new metals like tungsten for their wedding rings because they love the look their look as much as the fact that they get to wear something that isn’t traditional. For those who are looking to liven the grooved black or silver rings, small diamonds or even coiled gold rope can be added to a design. Think of it as the new generation of men’s rings: only this time men actually want to wear them.

June 29th, 2009 New and Exciting Ideas for June Weddings

With the sun shining brightly and the temperature warming the air nicely, wedding season is once again upon us. June has become the unofficial “wedding month” as brides look to take advantage of the warm (though not too hot) afternoons and comfortable evenings to tie the knot and wow their friends with a reception for the ages.

The problem is that with so many weddings going on in just 30 days, it takes a little bit of imagination to come up with little things that will help you stand out from the crowd. How about trying some “nontraditional” wedding food to wow guest’s palates? Titanium or tungsten rings instead of traditional wedding rings? How about a rock band instead of a DJ? It’s the little things that will make your wedding stand out.

When it comes to a wedding, every single one of them has one thing in common (besides an uncle who drinks too much): rings. Traditional wedding rings usually involve a gold, silver or platinum band, with some sort of precious jewel adorning it. Instead of sticking with tradition, how about changing it up a bit by trying titanium or tungsten jewelry?

You’d be surprised how elegant (and unbreakable) both metals are and there are many top-notch companies offering wedding bands made of both metals.  Once you see them, you will agree that tungsten rings are perfect to wear forever. And while you’re at it, most companies also make necklaces, bracelets and cuff-links in alternative metals.

Another thing to think about is what kind of food you’re going to serve. Traditionally the bride and groom can choose between beef, chicken or fish. Sometimes a vegetarian option like lasagna is added in there. Why not try something different like pizza, pasta, bar-b-que, or even something more exotic like Japanese, Indian or Chinese food? It may not be for everyone’s palate, but with ethnic restaurants bringing in big business what’s holding you back from offering something different for your guests then chicken in some kind of cream sauce? They will probably appreciate that.

And how about the music? I went to a wedding recently and instead of a DJ they had the groom’s brother’s rock band playing classic rock (Beatles, Stones, etc.) tunes. I have to say that it really worked, and it was honestly pretty refreshing. Not only was the band spot on, but it brought a freer attitude to the reception (they served pizza too which fit wonderfully into the atmosphere). Sometimes you just need a break from the typical Top 40 stuff and just dance to something live.

These are just a few things to think about when planning your ceremony. Remember: if you really want to stand out from the crowd then you have to think outside the box. Your guests will thank you for the change of pace.

March 12th, 2009 Using Fashion Accessories Like Tungsten Rings to Enhance Your Personality

With new urban fashion trends becoming widely accepted by both women and men everyone is looking for that individual touch that gives them a unique style that’s a touch above everyone else. Many people are looking for that perfect accessory to give them that edge. Many people are turning to tungsten rings.

Being in fashion is a necessity for many people and it’s a daily consideration that takes up a large part of their day. People spend time on hairstyles that are trendy and unique with the focal point on acceptance. Trendy clothing has been a mainstay for centuries with trend setting going to those who sit in the higher classes of society. Fashion sense is nothing new and it can be dated back to the dawn of civilization. So it’s no wonder that we remain transfixed on fashion just as deeply as we did centuries ago.

Some people focus on accessories like tungsten rings to help them separate themselves from others in the dating scene. The perfect catch needs to be able to find you on that dance floor and the right amount of fashion can do the trick. It’s vital to show who you are in your look because the first stages of attraction are almost always non-verbal. Therefore, fashion plays an important role in relationship building.  Once the attraction is established you can use your charm to reel them in but if you are not fashionable for the scene you are into then you’ll have a very hard time connecting with anyone.

The world of business usually has the same high standards on fashion as your private world. If your hair is messy and your cloths tattered and torn you will surely have trouble bringing in new clients or closing the deal. The worlds most successful business people dress with an eye on what is fashionable for their business. If you work in high finance you’ll mostly likely be wearing a costly high-end suit.  If you are working in the fashion industry you’ll likely be more on the eccentric side and you’ll accessories nicely with those tungsten rings mentioned earlier.

Even if you’re counter culture and you avoid all things fashionable you’ll likely find yourself subscribing to the fashion of the counter culture in which you identify yourself. It may seem like a vicious circle but it’s a fact of life that everyone identifies with a specific group of people and usually you’ll work to fit in and fashion plays a big part of comfortably fitting in. As you get older your fashion will change but if you take note you’ll notice that your circle of relationships has changed and you are not working to comply with their fashion needs.
