March 10th, 2010 Article Writing Tip: Tell Everything You Know

You might think that if you give away too much information, people will learn and move on and you’ll be left in the dust. That is very far from the truth! People are lazy (most people anyway) and if you explain, in detail, how to do something, even if you offer the service, people will look to you to do it for them.

Why? Well, now they know you are definitely an expert and they will feel comfortable with you handing their needs.

February 15th, 2010 Overcome Writer’s Block

There are many ways writers combat the dreaded ‘writer’s block’ but for me there is one thing that always helps; reading other people’s blogs. When I do this I am able to:

  • Find out what other bloggers and their readers interested in at the moment

February 11th, 2010 Are You an Expert

Many article writers claim to be an ‘expert’ in their field – but just wt makes someone an expert? I say, experience. While research can definitely lead someone to being an expert in their field, nothing says ‘been there, done that and I KNOW’ than having a boatload of experience to back things up.

If you really want to connect with your audience and prove that you know what you’re talking about, use your experience to back up your thoughts.
