December 12th, 2008 Taylormade Irons: Taking it to the Green

Taylormade golf clubs are an ideal piece of equipment to own, they have new products from the Rossa Monza Spider Putter to their Burner 09 driver. These clubs keep you on top of your game.

With winter approaching it’s the perfect time to access the current conditions going on inside your golf bag. Is there a reason your last round of gold ended up with your 20 over par? How many of your golf clubs ended up at the bottom of lakes this summer? Is there anyway to improve your game without hiring the course pro? Sure there is and Taylormade irons can help you.

Who better to trust than a company who are the makers of the number one driver on the PGA tour? Yes, Taylormade clubs have been used by some of the worlds best golfers including Sergio Garcia and Paula Creamer both of who have had recent wins on the PGA tour. Success is measured by those who build their success in partnerships and the Taylormade and PGA tour partnership has been one of many successes over the years.

Now that the golf season has slowed down (at least in the northeast) it is time to see what you can do to improve your game. By all means, get out to the clubhouse on a warm day and keep working on that driver but keep in mind that unlike many sports that rely solely on athletic skill, Golf also relies heavily on the equipment used. This is why so many companies and so many developers put millions into the development of new clubs and new technology to improve the performance of every golfer. People are hitting balls farther and more accurately then at any point in the history of the game. Taylormade is a big reason why!

With the newly released Burner 09 Driver, r7 Limited Drive the competition is sure to elevate and reach new levels of excellence. Sure, Taylormade could have rested on perennial favorites like the r7 CGB Max Rescue Club but their pursuit of excellent drives them to develop even more efficient drivers to help everyone improve their game.

Once you determine the best driver for your needs then focus a while on your putter. It’s often the most overlooked tool in the arsenal of a great golfer. If your putter has become a sad excuse for a piece of metal then you owe to yourself and your game to look into the new developments in putting like the Taylormade Rossa Monza Spider Putter which happens to be this writers favorite tool for the job.

Regardless of your off-season needs, Taylormade Irons, woods and putters will be able to take care of all your club needs and will surely help you take your game to the next level.

October 27th, 2008 Tips to Finding the Best Deals in Golf Apparel

Whether you are a serious golfer, or you are just starting out in this fun, leisurely sport, then there are a few basic items you’re going to need. After all, you can’t exactly play a sport without being prepared with all of the materials you’ll need, right? First and foremost, you’re going to need some golf balls, and some golf clubs (often referred to as golf drivers).

A golf caddy can make toting around these basic items and many others a lot easier, and much more convenient. And if you plan on spending any time on the green and on a regular golf course, then you’ll want some golf apparel to make playing your game more enjoyable, while looking stylish and feeling comfortable.

There are two pieces of golf equipment that you can’t play the game without: the golf ball and the golf club. There are thousands of other golf accessories out there, but these are the two that the game cannot proceed without.

The golf ball is available in a dozen different varieties, if not more, but the standard ball will be 1.62″ in diameter, and weigh no more than 1.68 ounces. The golf ball should also be approved by the United States Golf Association if you plan on participating in tournaments or professional games. If not, then you’re free to use any type of golf ball that you wish.

The golf club comes in a variety of styles, from the driver to the wood, and many others in between. It may be made out of metal or wood, with a heavy, thick plastic or metal bottom — the wedge. The handle is referred to as the shaft, and may have rubber grips for comfort and ease of use attached to the top third or quarter of it.

A golf club may be referred to as a driver. Golf drivers are the most important clubs you’ll be using. These come in stainless steel or titanium, have different angles and sweet spots, and are comprised of different materials for the heads and the wedges.

Play your game of golf in style with golf apparel. Your basic wardrobe should consist of comfortable, cotton blend pants, shorts or a skirt (many ladies may prefer what’s known as a skort; this piece of golf apparel features a skirt with attached shorts beneath), and of course, the golf shirt. The golf short is
a soft, cotton blend, is good at wicking moisture and also repelling damaging UVA and UVB sun rays.
